One of our fabulous staff managers was blessed with a beautiful daughter six years ago. Her name is Piper and she is one of our virtual receptionists‘ favorite little girls in the world. She is a ball of energy and she reminds us to take time out to find joy in little things. Piper was also diagnosed with autism 3 years ago. Autism affects millions of people and families worldwide and Oregon has one of the highest rates of autism in the US. Yesterday, 10 Rubys and friends walked with Piper and hundreds of others to enjoy a beautiful sunny day and show our support and raise money and awareness for the Autism Society of Oregon. The money that we donated this year will go towards great causes like providing scholarships to help lower income families afford special programs and summer camps for children with autism!
The entire month of April is Autism Awareness Month. This is a great time to take a moment to celebrate and support the people in your own life who have been touched by autism!
