Happy Earth Day, everyone! Over the years, the Ruby® virtual receptionist team has been hard at work implementing sustainable practices at every level of the company. Today, Ruby was recognized for its commitment to sustainability in an article in the The Oregonian!
From our Alternative Transportation program that encourages Rubys to take public transit or bike to work to our volunteer-run Green Team, we always have an eye out for new ways to go green. As Charlene Huwe says in The Oregonian article, “If everyone did a little piece, we would see some dramatic changes in our world.” Charlene, in Human Resources at Ruby, has been integral in kick-starting our Green Team, and passed the baton to Kate Carroll in Client Services and virtual receptionist Kim K. to lead the way from the ground up.
We are extremely proud of how far we’ve come so far, dramatically reducing out waste output and being named one of the “100 Best Green Companies to Work For in Oregon” for two years in a row. We look forward to continuing this eco-conscious Ruby tradition in the coming weeks when we move into our new LEED certified building!
On this Earth Day, we’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who makes Ruby such a green and great place to come to work!
