Our fifth consecutive year on Oregon Business magazine’s list, Ruby is one of the top ten Best Large Companies to Work for in Oregon! Oregon Business compiled the list based on surveys from 11,186 employees representing 248 companies statewide. This is the first time Ruby joined the large business category, and we were honored that our staff ranked us among the likes of Levi Strauss & Co. and Umpqua Bank.
We’re incredibly honored and greatly humbled to win the #3 Best Small Company in the U.S. award this year! This is our second consecutive year in the top three on this prestigious FORTUNE Magazine and the Great Place to Work Institute list, assembled using employee surveys and a substantial culture and benefit audit. Huge thanks to our employees in particular for making Ruby such a special place to come to work!
Not-So-Casual Fridays, epic parties, WOW gifts…I could go on and on about all the extraordinary things Ruby does. But it’s really who we are that make us a top company to work for. We’re an enthusiastic bunch — bright, innovative, and endlessly happy to help — and our shared passion for real, meaningful connections is what gets us up at 5am every day, ready to greet the world and each other with a smile!
“’Coming to work is like being hugged by 100 wonderful people all at once!’ said one employee…Asked how the company could improve, workers are hard pressed. ‘Water slides!’ suggests one.” There could only be one company with survey responses like these.
The crowd began to erupt into applause and peels of delight. “Ruby Receptionists is the #3 best medium-sized company to work for in Oregon!”
We are thrilled, delighted, and extremely proud to announce that Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE Magazine have named Ruby Receptionists the #1 best small company to work for in the nation!
We’re excited to announce that Ruby Founder & CEO Jill Nelson has been named a 2012 Customer Champion by 1to1 Media! Each year, 1to1 Magazine chooses a handful of customer-focused leaders who excel at creating a culture of exceptional customer service, and this year, they chose Jill for her innovation and unique approach to customer-centricity: Give your employees a good sense of purpose, and they will naturally seek to pay it forward.
In an increasingly technology-focused, virtual world, Jill has incented, inspired, and empowered Ruby’s virtual receptionists to wow clients and make meaningful connections. In turn, these personal connections have fueled Ruby’s success. “It’s important to make a difference,” said Jill. “And it works.”
We’re thrilled that our video has won a Gold Oregon ADDY award! Our brilliant branding company, Sockeye, outdid themselves when creating this whimsical representation of how our live virtual receptionist service works.
We’d also like to thank again our virtual receptionists and wonderful clients, Shawn Busse with Kinesis, Bonnie Richardson with Folawn Alterman and Richardson, and Matt Burk with Fairway America for their touching testimonials!
We’re thrilled that we’ve made Oregon Business magazine’s list of “100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon” for 2102! Since one of our Core Values is Fostering Happiness and the ranking is dependent on employee surveys, this is a particularly meaningful award for us.
This is our third year to have made the list, and last year we were overjoyed to be named the #2 “Best Company to Work For” in the medium-sized business category. In fact, almost forty Rubys attended, and we gave a raucous roar when our name was announced; our virtual receptionists may have soft, friendly voices when answering phones but we also know how to cheer with the best of them!
The Ruby® Receptionists team was out in full force to attend the Portland Business Journal‘s “100 Fastest Growing Private Companies” event last night. We were thrilled to learn that our virtual receptionist service made #38 on the list! This is our fourth consecutive year making the list, and we’ve actually jumped up seven spots since last year!
