Meet Your Virtual Receptionists

Each Ruby receptionist is bright, articulate, and friendly and will deftly field your calls with charm and grace. Here are just a few of the virtual receptionists who are looking forward to getting to know you and your business!

Meet Lauren O

Fun-loving and energetic, Portland native Lauren O. loves nothing more than spontaneous day trips. Her favorite spots include Oregon’s Bagby Hot Springs, Bald Peak, and the beautiful and historic home of the Klamath Indians, Klamath Falls. In the summer you can find her doing anything on or near the water, like taking a drive up the scenic Oregon Coast. Lauren plans on one day becoming a surgical technician and a homeowner. Until then, she will be providing your callers with unbeatable customer service in true Ruby® style.

Meet Whitney M

Portland native Whitney has a lot on her plate, but this go-getter wouldn’t have it any other way! Whitney is a vocal soloist for a classic rock band, and she’s a part of various jazz and classical ensembles. One of her major goals is to finish her teaching degree so she “can mold the minds of the rebellious youth in which our future lies”. Whitney teaches Zumba, dance, and choreography, and performs in plays. She loves hiking, cooking, watching old movies, and reading, and she’s a big fan of the New York Times. Here’s an inspiring quote from this talented Ruby: “I believe life’s too short to always be serious, and the smallest, simplest effort can make the change”. Wow! We agree, Whitney, and we’re so thankful for the positive impact you make on our clients, our callers, and your fellow Rubys every day.

Meet Pat S

Pat knows Oregon. She was born in LaGrande in Eastern Oregon, was raised in Bend in Central Oregon, and lived in the Willamette Valley for the past several years. Pat recently moved from Eugene to Portland to be close to her two sons and their families, and we’re so glad she did. Ruby wouldn’t be the same without her! She spends as much time as possible with her family, and loves playing an integral role in her granddaughter’s life. Pat also likes crafts, gardening, and flowers. She’s a florist, in fact, and recently showed her skills by arranging the flowers for her son’s wedding. Pat says she was destined to be a Ruby—Ruby was her grandmother’s name, and she shares a birthday with Ruby President Jill Nelson’s son. Pat, we are lucky to have you! You truly are a Ruby natural.

Meet Casey S

Casey moved to Portland from Mt. Sterling, Illinois, and Portland is the biggest city she’s ever lived in. We’re certainly glad she made the trek out west, because she’s a perfect fit for Portland and Ruby! Casey would someday like to go to graduate school for art, and get her teaching certificate in art education. She is a fan of cooking new dishes, listening to old records, exploring Portland, and meeting new people. A few of Casey’s favorite pastimes include camping, fishing, visiting the beach, reading, and painting.

Meet Heather H

Heather is originally from Santa Cruz, California, and was raised in Hood River, Oregon. Her current goal is to finish her bachelor’s degree in women’s studies at Portland State. After graduating, she says, “I hope to be able to aid in the growth of women’s research, especially regarding health and public education.” Heather likes being recreational, and enjoys camping, backpacking, and river floating in particular. Strolling art galleries, going to shows, and barbecuing with friends are a few of her favorite activities, and her favorite book is The Great Gatsby.
