Ruby is born! Jill Nelson founds Ruby originally as Worksource Inc. and our first office was actually in a sculptor’s studio – how far we’ve come!

Innovative marketing company Sockeye bestows us with a more fitting name: Ruby Receptionists. The cheery new branding reflects our bright, friendly receptionists—the real reason so many clients love what we do.

Howdy, Pardners! Ruby throws an epic Barn Bash for our employees, clients, vendors, and friends. In a nod to our sustainable practices, Oregon Business names us one of the top “100 Best Green Companies to Work For” for the first of two years.

Oregon Business magazine names Ruby the #2 “Best Medium-sized Company to Work For in Oregon” for our second year on the list. We also move into larger quarters in the LEED-certified Lovejoy Building with sweeping views of Portland. Our kickball team, the Ruby Death Squad, wins its first game in three years!
